I hosted Nature Journaling because I wanted to create a space where people could slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and engage their senses in a mindful way. Personally, I’ve always found that sitting quietly outdoors with a notebook helps me notice things I would otherwise overlook like the texture of a leaf, the way light filters through trees, or the subtle patterns in bird calls. It’s calming, creative, and grounding. I also enjoyed the fact that nature journalers do not need to be good at drawing or at writing or either, it's simply a way to respect what's around you and document the peace. To this day, the participants have told me how impactful this program is for their mental health.
