In 2024 I wrote an expose on a local cold case using the collection items from the Marx History Room at the Easton Area Public Library. Sharon Gothard inspired me to write this article by bringing the case to my attention and helped me locate various records, maps, and articles that were relevant to the case. The article was published on the Marx Room's blog, ReMarx on Genealogy and History.
In 2025 I had a final project for my Information Professionals class during my time at Drexel. The project was to build a LibGuide centered around any theme that we wished. As it is my passion, naturally I chose to make a guide for fellow public librarians who are interested or have experience with adult programming. The guide showcases ideas, grant opportunities, research behind the important of offering such programs, as well as an interactive idea exchange board.
For my capstone project at Drexel I spearheaded a booklist website for the Youth Services department of the Easton Area Public Library. During this time I logged over 100 hours of active work time which was spent on building the shell of the website, using metadata to categorize the books into relevant lists and creating the actual lists with subpages. For this project I also designed both back and front-end user testing, website edits, and a training guide for staff to edit and upkeep the website.
Programming Librarian Blog Post
In the midst of COVID-19 programming, I wrote a blog post on my Books & Baking program. The article was featured on the ALA Programming Librarian blog. The blog is has a standard layout for all programs being submitted: basic description, advanced planning, marketing, budgeting, day-of-event activity, program execution, and finally advice. The program I wrote for was wildly successful with our patron base.
